Lord of the Harvest

Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Believers must have faith in God’s plans. One way to prepare for faith in God’s plans is to allow the Lord to change the way you think. Your mind (yes, your mind) has to be reconditioned by the word of God in order to start the process of walking into your destiny. Reconditioning of your mind allows you to have the mind of Christ and think thoughts that please God. The Word of God directs you to be renewed in your mind, because you are a living sacrifice. Romans 12:1-2 ( KJV ) says: “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world; but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable and perfect will of God.”

Worship With Your Mind, Body, and Soul

The mind, body, soul, and spirit make up the individual.  As a Christian, your body is a holy temple that is consecrated to God. That means that your body is not your own. You can’t just to do whatever you want to do. Your mind has to be renewed constantly, because left to your own devices, you will be your own spirit’s worst enemy.

The Will of God Is the Highest Good 

The Word of God directs us not to lean to our own understanding, but acknowledge Jesus is all our ways, and He will direct our path. Proverbs 3:5 & 6 ( KJV ) says: “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths ” If we lean to our own understanding, we will act according to what we know; but our knowledge of things is incomplete. The Lord sees all and knows all, so His choices for our lives are best because they are based on His total knowledge, perfect love, and power.

Let the Lord Pilot Your Life 

When you receive Jesus as your personal Savior, your spirit is redeemed. When you let Jesus take the driver’s seat, you are positioned towards what is the good, perfect and acceptable will of God. After receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit, (the second part of the gift of salvation), you now have the power to direct your body, mind, and soul towards God’s plans. Once the Lord positions you on His potter’s wheel, He breaks and remakes you to be a vessel conformed to His will.  Like choice grapes destined for the finest wine, the Lord shakes, breaks, and presses you to conform you to the image of Christ, which is the highest good for any man’s life. Once you totally surrender to Jesus, things change.

Life Is Both Natural and Supernatural

We now have the confidence needed to live a supernatural life. What kind of life do you want?  God has already determined the plans for your life, and His favor has already been released. When Jesus died on the cross, He said “It is finished,” which means that all the work that needs to be done in your life – all the lessons, punishments, and gifts have already been established. All things have been set in motion to work together for your good.

As believers we must move from believing to knowing as declared in Romans 8:28 (KJV) And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.   We must decree and claim that we are not going to live an average life.  God calls us a royal priesthood a holy nation peculiar people. 1 Peter 2:9 (KJV) says: “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.”  This scripture tells us that we are marked by God. So, we don’t have to worry about anything, because God has and knows the plans that will prosper you and me.

Greater Than Pie in the Sky

But what does this mean for our every day lives? Are you in debt? Then, it means you can speak to your debts and declare freedom from it. It is God’s desire for His children to be debt-free. Just imagine how much your could give into the Kingdom of God if you did not have ANY bills (credit cards, mortgage, car notes, pay day loans, child support, spousal support, etc.). Amos 9:13 (KJV) says: “Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt.” Just in case you don’t know what this scripture is talking about: It’s talking about your harvest – your prosperity. Jesus is Lord of the Harvest!

The Lord Who positions you for success and miracles, is getting you ready for your harvest. This is the year of debt elimination. God is working-out His refining process in the spirit for us to receive the manifestation of His plans. Once we are in the flow with God, it’s for an eternity.  Keep walking with God, and you will walk into your destiny. Everywhere I look I see blessings. I am excited about what God is doing in my life. Are you excited about what He is doing in yours?

Knowing that all things work together for good for those who love the Lord and are called according to His purpose, we can rejoice in all things – even when things appear to be going wrong. Remember: We walk by faith, not by sight. God’s plans are so powerful that circumstances can’t stop them. They are not connected to the economy, your family, your past, or any other circumstance. This is GREAT news people of God.
