Restoration of Your Confidence

If the foundation is destroyed what can the righteous do?  Psalms 11:3 NASB (New American Standard Bible)

In the Bible there is a parable of two men.  One man built his house upon the sand while the other man built his house upon the rock.  When the rains came and beat upon the two houses, the house built on the sand was completely demolished, while the house built on the rock stood firm.  The foundation that is built on sand is much like human understanding.  It’ s always shifting, being tossed about by every whim, emotion, circumstance, or events.  On the other hand, the solid rock foundation puts an individual in the right place.  This is the hope that believers have in Jesus.  Jesus is the solid rock and everything else is sinking sand.  Salvation is the first phase of establishing a firm foundation placing us back into creation status that mankind had prior to the fall of mankind in the Garden of Eden.  When we are in right relationship,  there is a confidence toward God and what God can accomplish through us.

In 1Samuel 17:41-47 Then the Philistine came on and approached David, with the shield-bearer in front of him. 42.When the Philistine looked and saw David, he disdained him; for he was but a youth, and ruddy, with a handsome appearance. 43.  The Philistine said to David, “Am I a dog, that you come to me with sticks?” And the Philistine cursed David by his gods. 44.The Philistine also said to David.  “Come to me, and I will give your flesh to the birds of the sky and the beast of the field.”  45.  Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword, a spear, and a javelin, but I come to you in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have taunted. 46.  This day the Lord will deliver you up into my hands, and I will strike you down and remove your head from you.  And I will give the dead bodies of the army of the Philistines this day to the birds of the sky and the wild beasts of the earth, that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel, 47. and that all this assembly may know that the Lord does not deliver by sword of by spear; for the battle is the LORD’s and He will give you into our hands.” (NASB)

Never let you giant speak to you without you speaking to it.  Just like Goliath tried to place fear into David, the challenges we face in our everyday life try to do the same thing.  When a circumstance begins to intimidate, we as Believers must remain confident that GOD is Able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all that we can ask or think.   Confidence we display comes from what we know about GOD and our past victories.  Confidence comes from what we have practiced successfully.  The one thing we need to know about God is the He shows no partiality,  Acts 10:35,.  What He did for David he Will do for you.  God honors his name and his word.  Once the word of God is released the signs will follow.  From this day forward, exercise your confidence in GOD by not practicing sin.  Refrain from doing something that you know is wrong.   Build up your confidence in God by being obedient to the living word found in the Bible.  Then and only then can you become the slayer of the giants when they present themselves into your life.  When the storms of life come, you will endure.  By your testimony the world will see a Living God who is able to deliver and keep you in the midst of all confusion.  Your focus is not on the problem but directed toward the provisions that are in Jesus.   By Brother and Sister continue to look upward then inward which will be expressed outwardly.

Faithfully
